They say that laughter is the best medicine, and what movie better expresses that sentiment than Patch Adams? While altering the setting from the ‘70s to the ‘80s, I drew inspiration from the Memphis Design movement. Using white as my primary background color allowed the bright hues of halftone patterns and geometric shapes to come to the forefront. This emphasized the contrast between the stark and sterile atmosphere of traditional healthcare settings and the potential for what it could be with a little more fun, play, and laughter.
