There's a dark side to Hollywood and everybody knows it. This poster was designed for a fictional, self-created play about a girl on the wrong side of the coin in Los Angeles. At the beginning stages of her acting career, she’s faced with a difficult decision: Expose the truth and lose her big shot, or keep quiet and lose her dignity. I created a photomontage with gaudy green hues to express the sickeningly sweet and therefore sour nature of fame and the entertainment industry. Palm trees lean toward the center of the frame, further disorienting the viewer, while the word “relentless” hangs like a marionette in the balance above; dangling from fingers and on the brink of being cut—just like the protagonist’s fate.
